Kurt Keller's work is done mainly in black and
white and has taken on a broad range of subject matter. He first
focused on the wildlands of the country and then turned his focus
on suburban and rural America.
Current projects now explore the Montana landscape,
its’ people, and the interaction between them. Having just
finished working on the portraits for the book “Montana
Folks”, Kurt has discovered many newareas of interest all around the state. New work
from the highline and eastern Montana towns are being explored.
In addition to the traditional gelatin silver black & white
print, Kurt also works with the platinum palladium process. These
prints are made through a contact printing process. The size
of the final print is the size of the original negative. For
this process Kurt works with a variety of cameras in sizes 4x5,
8x10 and the recent addition, an 11x14 camera. |
